How to have a successful extended family photo shoot? // Pleasanton Family Photographer Flo Signorelli Photography.
Extended family sessions are the best! I love to photograph all the generations and always insist on taking a few pictures of the ones who started everything: grandparents.
When you hire me to do your extended family session I would take so many pictures that you are going to be lost on what we photographed and what not; headshots of the kids, all the cousins together, doing at least one funny pose, siblings, older siblings and “the kids” (you, the one who probably contacted me) with their parents.
That's the one that always gets me, because in a moment you were their babies, and now you have your own kids and maybe it's because I am a mom that I found that, as the cutest thing.
In case you honor me with this privilege of taking photos of the whole family I would send you my wardrobe guide, you are going to coordinate with everyone a color theme so it would be easy to create your outfits.
While I take pictures of each family, the next family in line would begin to prepare the kids, hair, clothes and be camera ready.
Always, if there's kids, bring snacks, water and if you can, try not to select a snack that makes crumbles, some gummys or dry fruit would not make them or make them go crazy in energy.
Lastly, ENJOY! this is a moment to have with all your family, dont stress, trust me I am taking all the pictures that you need!
Thank you to the Kokawa’s family for trusting me this moment!
Flo.
